Hi, I’m Debi Makgae, hairstylist, makeup artist, and founder of Giving Glam.

My journey into beauty began long before I had a studio or a brand name. It started with quiet, meaningful moments—braiding my sister’s hair before school, helping my mom prepare for family gatherings, and being the go-to friend for special occasions. Those moments planted the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion.

Over the years, I’ve refined my craft, working across matric dances, weddings, and special events. In 2025, that dedication was recognised when Giving Glam was named Best Makeup Artist in the Best of Ekurhuleni Readers’ Choice Awards—a milestone that reflects both the growth of the brand and the trust of the community I serve.

I believe beauty should feel effortless, personal, and empowering. A soft glam look, a perfectly placed curl, or a glowing finish can completely transform how someone feels—not by changing who they are, but by enhancing it.

That belief is at the heart of Giving Glam.

Today, I work from a thoughtfully created studio space designed to feel calm, welcoming, and intentional. Whether you’re preparing for your wedding day, a photoshoot, or a moment that matters, my goal is simple: to help you feel confident, radiant, and completely yourself.
